    There are a lot of Mapcos in Nashville. In fact, there are two competing mapco's at this intersection. The main street is Thompson lane and the mapcos are seperated by the side street.

    Let me note now for when I look at this picture in the future, that this was taken when gas prices were near their highest point in the summer of 2008.

      In Memphis, we literally have the proverbial "Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks". I think one of them is closing in the Great Starbucks Massacre of 08, though.

      The store in the back or on the right as you look at them does more business.
