02/20/11 - Happy 44th, Kurt
I guess something a lot of people wouldn't know about me, and probably would never guess is that I'm a huge Kurt Cobain fan. I have been since the first time I heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit". I think my earliest memory aside from living in Washington was hearing this song. I was about three or four years old, give or take. From then on my life changed a lot and I learned things about myself and the ones I love the most from Kurt. He helped me get through some of the toughest times in my life, tougher than the things I went through after I found Craig Owens. (A lot of people who know me, know that Craig is my hero, etc. etc.) This man has opened my mind to so many things about the world we live in. He has been, and always will be, my first favorite musician. He led me to what I listen to today and I can't thank him enough for that. This man means so much to me and sometimes I feel really bad for not showing it enough. As soon as I realized what day it was, I decided to grab everything I owned that pertained to him, and take a few photographs. I know he hated himself, and I know he didn't think he was anything special, but I do. I think he's an amazing person inside and out. His flaws make him perfect in every way possible. Rest In Peace, Kurt Cobain.
