I try to keep this project as much about art (and random objects) as possible, but I thought a topical photo was important tonight.

To clarify, I'm very much in support of the current healthcare reform legislation. It's about time we start giving the tools needed for the lower class to achieve middle class life back to the poor. This helps with that. It's about time we recognize healthcare as a basic right afforded to us in the "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" clause. This helps with that as well. More importantly, it's about time the Democratic legislative and executive branches finally follow through on what we elected them to do.

Here's to hoping we have a bill passed tonight.

    1 sb600 camera left, 1/4 power, 1/2 CTO through 43'' white shoot-thru umbrella.
1 sb600 behind me, 1/2 power through red gel (yes, to get the red white & blue motif).

    Triggered with Cactus V4s.

Jesse f/2.8, Billy Wilson Photography, and 2 other people added this photo to their favorites.

As a canadian, I've never really understood what all the fuss was about - I guess we just kind of take it for granted that our health care is a right. I've heard so much against (I suppose I watch Fox News for the "entertainment" value way too much) and seen so many people on here post shots against the bill, it is nice to start seeing those in favor start to speak up.

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)

Good lord, tell me about it. It's like nobody here believes that the overwhelming majority of Canadians and Europeans in general really like their healthcare system and that it, you know, works pretty well for almost everyone.

I envy you your socialized medicine.

In love with the color in this shot. The background is fantastic. Did you add it in processing?

    4. RLHyde 50 months ago | reply

I bumped up the saturation in processing, but most of the color is coming from the gelled light I have pointed at the wall, positioned directly behind me. I'm glad you liked it :)

bahaha! or should i purse my lips and nod in serious contemplation? living in latvia, healthcare is neither here no there, price wise. $4 tetanus shots -- i'm not complaining.

The US could learn a thing or two from Latvia, it would seem. Hopefully we've started moving in the right direction some 60 years after everyone else.
