The Forgotten Tea Party

I shot this on the site of an old hotel near my house which got knocked down a couple of years ago. Since then, the rubble's just been left there whilst the greenery slowly grows back around it.

Despite no one seeming to have touched this place since it got demolished, when I got there today there was a group of workmen and a digger in it, much to my annoyance. I had to go and ask the guys if they minded me shooting. They didn't, it was still pretty awkward though...

Whilst editing this I wasn't sure what direction to go so I just put loads and loads of curves layers on until I got a better idea of how I wanted the final photo to look. So it's made up of tonnes of them, mostly pulling the red curve up, then down, then back up again...

Anyway, now for some exciting news!

Rosie Kernohan and myself are organising a small meet up/day of shooting at Hampstead Heath, London, on the 19th August. Everyone is more than welcome to come along, so would any of you be interested?! :)

Also, my Facebook page is nearing 500 likes, and when I get there I shall be doing another print giveaway, so if you're interested please go over and like my page! It'd mean a lot! :)
