A beekeeper in Chiquimula, Guatemala
A beekeeper stands near his community's beehives in Chiquimula, Guatemala, located in the Corredor Seco (Dry Corridor), which recently suffered a drought, thus exacerbating poverty and malnutrition in a country that already has the highest malnutrition rate in the Western Hemisphere. The beehives are part of an income-generating program initiated by Save the Children to help farmers affected by climate change and the impact on their livelihoods earn an alternative source of income.
