I've been fascinated with Mannequins most of my life. Shopping with my Mom, I remember we went to this store to buy school clothes. We went to get in the elevator and it was almost full of Plastic People! I had never seem anything like them! The person in charge of moving them, said you are welcome to ride up with us if you like. We did! I think I was speechless starring at the naked plastic ladies.

Another early mannequin "mind etching" came from a Twilight Zone Episode, “The After Hours 1960", with Anne Francis. She played this beautiful woman named "Marsha White." She enter a department store, to a floor that didn't exist, to buy a gold thimble. Very strange things happen after that! It turned out, she was a store mannequin who had come to life for a brief period of time. Thats where I began to feel mannequins were alive...

Lastly, watching the original movie, "The Time Machine" in 1960, where a A Victorian Englishman "Rod Taylor," travels to the future. As he journeys forward in time, he watches a window mannequin being dressed and redressed, as the days fashions changed.

So With these things etched in my young mind, I've always been fascinated with Mannequins. Sadly, today's store mannequins, often headless and un-life like modern-esque interpretations are not very interesting.
