Watkins Glen State Park, New York

I have heard a lot about Watkins Glen but haven't seen much of it beyond cell phone photos people have shown me while describing a recent trip they went on. So I wasn't sure what to expect. It was beautiful and well-maintained...kind of like a waterfall zoo. It does take a bit of the fun out of it, but spectacular scenery is spectacular scenery no matter how it's packaged. Luckily, I went on a low traffic Sunday evening so I had plenty of time to myself to get empty scenes like this one.

 

This photo was created from a single RAW image processed in Adobe Lightroom. Adjustments include lens correction, contrast, exposure (including spot exposure), and white balance.
