Congraree National Park, South Carolina HDR
I got to Congaree National Park just after sunrise one August morning. I was the first one there and I know I was the first because I hit, not exaggerating, hundreds of spiderwebs that had been built over the path during the night. They all seemed to be at face level. I had planned on hiking 6 miles that morning, but gave up after about a mile. Rather than take the same path that I had already cleared of spider webs back to my car, I decided to take a different path. I am glad I did. I came across this scene. It didn't look like this in real-life but I wanted to add in the feeling of being there all alone, covered in spider webs.
