Mickey Mantle Baseball
I could have labeled this "My Prized Possession"
In the early nineties, I was working for a video production company that was doing the video for Mickey Mantle's Baseball Camp. He came in to our offices and was chatting with the owner for awhile and at the end of his conversation, he said, if you want anything signed, I can do that now. We all started bringing out things from the woodwork for him to sign...it was greatness! Of course he said "No Bats though!" (he was under contract to sign bats at the time)
Primitive Lighting Setup:
I was sitting at my computer desk and I noticed my signed baseball sitting on one of my shelves and had the thought right there to get the shot. I had my D300 with the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 set to 1.8 and used my trusty desk lamp and three sheets of bright white typing paper as the background and on the sides for bounce. The desk lamp uses a Halogen bulb and it was on it's brightest setting.
