LEGO "Gold Mine" Pickup Truck

Newer Older

I've had this built for a while now, 'bout time it found it's way to the web. Inspired by this and this, put 'em together and you get, well, what you see here, So mid 70's styling I guess, no particular brand, and some customizing. Features faux suspension, V8 and transmission as well as front and rear drive lines, push bumper/plow attachment, custom license plate, and removable hood. The hood is actually really neat, it can be swapped for any 4x4 plate, so hood scopes and different colors are easy.

By the way, you took two already great MOCs, combined them, and made something even greater :) That takes skill!

    Thanks Peteris
Not quite as impressive as your new Peterbilt I know, but thank you ; )
I've had the engine sitting around for over a year now I think, it just needed something big to be dropped into. Thanks for a great starting point by the way!
You've got nice taste Scruffy. I'd love to have a truck like that. Glad I could help you reminisce.
Thanks for the invite. Consider it added!
Hey Dylan, thanks buddy, though I'm not sure if I'd say I made something greater, both original models were fantastic pieces that had wonderful little details, and without them I would have never built this. Thanks though!

And thanks for all the faves you guys!

Wow You've done a great job on this build. Love the engine and suspension details!
Any chance you have more pictures of the underside or a couple of build photos? Would love to make one myself!

Hey thanks suckerpunch! It's good to hear some positive feedback! While I do encourage you to build your own variation, really please do, I can not provide any better pics as this model is 2774 miles(give or take a few) away from me now : ( I can however refer you to the reference links in my description way up there at the top^
Best of luck to you and happy building
