Stumbled across my old glass marble and decided to play with it again. :]
-Happy Earth Day
EDIT: Okay, so a ton of people have been asking the same few questions (or, if not asking, loudly proclaiming as fact) so to answer a few things:
1) Yes. Despite what you'd probably guess, it IS possible to balance a marble on one finger while taking a photo. It's not the easiest thing (I would know) but I really wouldn't have any reason to lie about this. Trust me.
2) "If it's really real, shouldn't the refraction be flipped?" Good eye! Your correct on that, and this photo has been processed... But again, trust me, image inside the marble is completely real.
3) "I've seen this shot a million times before. I'm not impressed..." Okay, that's not a question, but I've gotten that enough that I'll answer it anyway: I'm sorry to disappoint you. In all fairness, though, before May of '07 (when I first played the marble) I had never before seen anyone try something even similar to this. But the wonderful thing about Flickr is that there are thousands of fantastic images to explore- if you don't like this image, there's sure to be something a million times cooler if you just look around. :]
