Ronnie Drew, he was The Greatest Living Irishman

Ronnie was over in New York performing at The Irish Arts Centre and while his wife Deirdre was visiting friends in Philadelphia he invited me to have dinner with him again at Cafe Des Artistes, a place Cole Porter would - and probably did - call swelegant. "You wouldn't find many artists here, would you?" Ronnie chuckled. I love this man. And I loved Deirdre too, bless her. Added August 16 2008: Ronnie died in Dublin today at 2pm. I loved him so very very much. Thank you for everything, Ronnie. And Deirdre. "Bless us who are still in heaven, bless us who are still alive" - BP
