Sand & Sea ~ Curtin Wave*

“I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild; when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark and moody. And in all its moods, I see myself.” ~Martin Buxbaum

*Rare wind and tide conditions create huge and powerful rip-tides. The rip-tide, going back out to sea, sometimes crashes into an incoming wave producing tremendous energy and unique waves such as this "curtin wave". The brownish color of the water is due to huge upwelling of sand from the ocean's floor.
