"Put a Tiger In Your Tank," the advertising message that found its way into the language of the country, was successfully communicated at the point of purchase. The promotion was well supported at the service station with many signs, tiger tail give-aways, and related promotional devices. The light pole sign, approximately twenty-eight by eighteen inches, was silk-screened on outdoor corrugated board and held together with wing nuts; it was designed to attach to a light pole on the service station driveway, where it would have good exposure to driveway traffic.
