Summary: In the 1920s, after the death of his beloved mother Cecilia, Houdini turned his energies toward debunking self-proclaimed psychics and mediums. Houdini's extensive magical training enabled him to expose frauds who had successfully fooled many scientists and academics.

Apparently only the spirit of Santa Claus could tear him away from his “spirit debunking task” as this whimsical, hand-colored Christmas card testifies.
