New Zealand glacial river

    Newer Older

Taken at Mt Cook and looking towards a glacial lake.
The milky blue colour of the water is due to sediment from the glacier.
We didn't actually see Mt Cook (NZ's highest mountain) as it was obscured by cloud unfortunately, the scenery was magnificent even without seeing the mountain tops.

I've been just a few meters from this spot, if it's where I'm thinking it is. Such an amazing place and it's on my list of places to visit again, someday

Very well composed and excellent contrast. I really like the lights and shades on the water and rocks. If I let a trivial advice, applying a nd in the raw acr gain in contrast between the sky and the snowy summit. A hug.

I like the brown plants or whatever it is on the sides of the water dividing the photo. Could really be two great photos. Great work!
