Light Through the Keyhole

Every year around the winter solstice, the sun sets right through the opening of the key hole arch at Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, Ca. It's pretty neat event, but as it gets closer to the solstice and a weekend, the beach gets pretty crowded. I was fortunate enough to be out there on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday had a small handful of friendly photographers. Thursday was a bit more crowded, with people jockeying for position for the straight on shot for the sun setting through the keyhole. I won't be able to head down there this weekend, but I imagine it will be much worse.

Lee 10-stop Big Stopper to get me some nice soft water to go with the soft light.
