Oh Vera, I feel in Christmas :-) I like the different steps, the icing also on the table: we can imagine your hands behind this photo. The contrast of two colors, warm and cold, is elegant and appetizing.

The marble creates an interesting mood. It is cold, wintery and snowy. It compliments the icing on the top of the cakes. I agree with Edda, the contrast with the warm brownish cakes is excellent. The light is very pretty on the un-iced cakes, they look like blushing.

The composition is very you and very good.

Vera, do the edges of the icing look a little bit over-sharpened to you?

Dada, I AM in the Xmas mood :)
Oh, you have no idea :)
Laksmi, thanks a lot. Is this me? Do I seem like lots of sweet to you ? :)))))
On my screen it is not oversharpened, but I believe you. I am in a desperate need of a new screen...

Yes, Vera, you are a sweet, thick frosting on the top of a cake that already has a sugary glaze on it :-). Can't get better than that.

I changed the computer a while ago, and nothing has been the same since :-) I can get really paranoid about the sharpness, colors, luminance...and have no idea if it is just me or the new computer :-). I'm sure there is a clinical diagnosis for the condition :-). If you are happy with the results you see now, don't change the computer or screen! It can drive you crazy.

Another stunner, Vera. The marble goes perfectly with the coolness of the icing. I like the detail of the dripped icing as well.

Oh I agree with and this image has a wonderful winter feeling. The pattern in marble look like patches of snow, which is just perfect with the snowy white icing on the cake.

How pretty! I love how you are using nature to capture the festive feel and the beauty of the season. In our tropical climate it is still hot! We are hoping that December will bring in at least a week of respite:). Brown and white are an eternal favourite, much like blue and white:).

I agree with the above comments, nice use of the marble, it's got a snowy effect and I like the drips, that's a really nice touch.
