The Lahore regional office was opened in late 1993. In addition to representative work and monitoring regional policy-making, the Pakistan office and its employees concentrate mainly on planning and supervising projects in the region. For example, support is provided for the first co-production of theatre groups from Bangladesh and Pakistan since the war of 1971.

In order to promote South-South networking, the office organizes an annual meeting of all partner organizations, in a different country each year, as well as an annual seminar on the topic of Women in Religion. The office also initiates and supervises grassroots initiatives in Pakistan, for example on educational work with Mullahs, or a study on the situation of sex workers.
