Handspun Twisted Fiber Art superwash merino in Angst

Twisted Fiber Art 100% superwash merino in Angst, approx 217m/110g. This is exactly the reason I started spinning in the first place. I am so in love with this skein. The colors are AMAZING and I can't stop looking at/touching it. It is still overplied a bit, and I'm thinking of runnig it through the wheel to take out some of the ply. Is this a good idea? Has anyone done this before?

Also, can someone explain why how this is - according to my calculations, this comes out to be about a worsted weight or so, but just looking at the strands and comparing it to another skein that is 220m/100g, it is fingering/sport weight. I always judged yarns by it's length to weight ratio, so this is kind of mind boggling. I guess the yarn is more compressed?

I am so buying more Twisted Fiber Art roving - anyone know when she is updating again?
