Lake O'Law Irish Roots

Both Scottish and Irish settlers settled the highlands of Cape Breton. In the Lake O'Law area, which forms the upper portion of the Margaree Valley. The first European settlers came from Ireland. in the early 1800's.

WOW Chuck--Irish descendant, here, too! LOL. My paternal family roots, the Killarneys, came from County Killarney to the Lake O'Law region, then a branch split off and came to Maine, near the Kennebec lake and settled what is now Cornville, ME. Very nice plaque.
