Space Vampire!

From the darkest depths of the universe, where it's always nighttime, comes... Space Vampire!

A quick little vector drawing, based on a doodle I did during a meeting. Don't worry, I can doodle and listen at the same time.

Originally I drew him with light green skin, but it didn't go very well with the other colors, so I changed it to a pale blue. I like the high contrast provided by the bright red cape.

I briefly considered calling this one "Alien Vampire," since I just did a "Space Accountant" drawing, but that just didn't have as good a rhythm as "Space Vampire."

This is a vector drawing, drawn all in InDesign. The text was hand drawn.

Can I print this and use it as bookmark?
  • Bob Canada 4y

Astronit Sure, go ahead. I hadn't thought of that-- maybe I should start selling bookmarks. I'm thinking of selling calendars for next year.

A calendar is a cool idea, particularly if you do lots of funny pictures around the boarders and dates instead of just one big picture each month. You could even change the names of the days or length of the weeks. Given your creativity I'd expect something very unusual and artistic. I'd order one.

Astronit Well... I already laid out a 2012 calendar, and it's just a standard one with one picture at the top and a grid of squares at the bottom. I know the kind of creative calendars you're talking about, and I like looking at them for their design, but honestly they're not very practical. It's hard (for me, anyway) to write in a dentist appointment on a calendar that just has a row of 31 numbers down in the corner.

Also, I'm limited by cost as well. I talked with a local print shop about pricing, and the only kind I can afford to have printed is the standard 11x17 folded in half type.

    Fun "doodle"! ^__^

Maybe you should look into Redbubble. They will sell your stuff in multiple formats and do all of the work. All you do is create.

Bob Canada Really ?!...... I thought it was the look of concentration on your face while thinking up the next batch of fantastic cartoon characters you seem to have rattling around your head ! ;-)
