When I saw a custom Blythe doll by Yumi Camui dubbed "The Great Gatsby Vampire," a new subplot arose involving my dolls who are living during the Jazz Age. Here, we have Myrtle Wilson (in front of the original 1925 cover of the book). She is going to be bringing an element of mystery to the story of my other girls...

 

***Myrtle Wilson is a character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" who was having an affair with the wealthy Tom Buchanan when she became the victim of a fatal hit-and-run car accident for which Tom's wife, Daisy, is responsible, for she was driving Gatsby's car, though Gatsby is assumed--by Myrtle's husband George, a poor car mechanic--to be the culprit...a chain of events with tragic consequences for Myrtle and for Gatsby...

 

Here, Myrtle has realized that she is no longer alive in the conventional sense. She has become one of the UNDEAD...
