Trees in Bloom with Lens Flare

The slope of Grandfather Mountain just below the Linn Cove Viaduct, ablaze with blooming maples at this time of the year. The reds are the flowers of red maples, the bright green probably sugar maples and oaks. The sun back-lighting them makes them almost glow. This slope is just as gorgeous in fall when the maple leaves turn bright colors again.
