A Room with a View

A shot of False Kiva in Canyonlands National Park, near Moab, Utah. The False Kiva, itself, is the round structure in the photograph--and is of unknown, mysterious, and possibly ancient origins. It is located in a tall shallow cave about half way up an immense and nearly sheer cliff on the edge of a canyon in Canyonlands. The hike into it is definitely intimidating at times.

Heaving heard of this location and seen many beautiful photos from here, I was determined to try to find it on a recent trip to Moab and Canyonlands. A fellow landscape photog (who shall remain nameless for his own protection) on G+ was kind enough to give me a rough map... _*which_ I later learned he had never actually used* before and was himself curious of it was accurate! Well, here's proof that it's accurate enough. ;)
