Bryce Canyon Amphitheater at Sunrise

Got up way too early, and it was way too cold out. Threw on what meager warm clothes I had and made the lonely (no one else crazy enough to be up) drive into Bryce Canyon National Park. It was still dark when I arrived and I was the only one there... which made me wonder just a little about how crazy I was. Froze my tookus off taking some predawn photos of the planetary alignment on the eastern horizon, and before long people started arriving. Took that as a cue to stake out a prime spot at the lookout and shivered, waiting for dawn, as more and more people arrived. By the time we were rewarded with a magnificent sunrise, the place was packed, and we were all treated to beautiful light.
