  • I had to find this book on Friday and could not! I thought it was more of an orange color and started scanning farther down.
  • Ship of Gold in Deep Blue Sea- sinking of the SS Central America. I bought this book about 5 years ago. For me it was one of those that was hard to put down but just about any nautical or maritime book is. This book is on the top shelf of one of my bookcases in the bedroom. - gb_packards Thank you for the 1 million views!
  • Not too many people seem to know this one. My aunt was involved in the recovery of the textiles that they found in the shipwreck.
  • I am one! lol - Melody.loves.you
  • Go Chronicle Books! The only one I could find, though. :( - Todd X.

Rainbow Books

Newer Older

My books were organized by topic and then alpha by author but I decided to change these two bookcases so that they were arranged by color. I like the way it looks but I can't find anything anymore!

Here's a zoom-burst view of my rainbow books: www.flickr.com/photos/bluemarla/2099105201/

Thanks so much everyone for the continuing love for this photo, which has been my most popular on flickr since I posted it 5 years ago! My books on these shelves are still this way today, with a couple of titles changed out when the colors faded.

It's true...you can tell a lot about a person just by looking at their bookshelf. I would love to read your Book Review of some of these titles.

Its beautiful, really, truly beautiful, but you'd need an index to find anything.
Still, I have a number of entropic shelves, not particularly organized, this would be something really fun to do with them!

I did the same thing, and you are right, I can't find anything anymore either!!!!! But I like the way it looks, so it's worth it.

I like you idea of rainbow books, it looks nice and it feels nice. As someone said, looking for books may bring back books you had forgotten about. Nice picture.

Marla: You have one of the best pix on Flickr. Here's my own arrangement of editions of books which I wrote. I'm still missing two dozen foreign editions, but a book arrangement is a book arrangement.

    Bookshelves....(mine, so far)
