On the left: kurikinton (mashed sweet potato with chesnuts). On the right: kuromame (black beans); kamaboko (steamed fish sausage); gomame (dried and braised baby fish); tainoko (sea bream roe). The little cup at left is for otoso (sweetened sake steeped in herbs).
