    That child can sleep anywhere!!

    Anywhere but at home.

    I know that tune.

My guy slept for 2.5 hours at daycare today. I can't get him beyond 45 minutes at home most days.

No more than 3 hours in a row at night. Am starting to question the wisdom of all this attachment parenting malarky.

I should have qualified the above statement with "during the day" because he sleeps very well at night. I think a baby's personality and a family's schedule/home life have more to so with sleep habits than parenting style.

Shuma naps well when we're out and best of all when he's in the care of someone other than his parents. I've been told by several people that that's totally normal and most babies are the same way.

As for attachment parenting, I have a pick-and-choose approach. I tried most AP methods and kept what worked and discarded what didn't. We had to resort to CIO to get Shuma to sleep on his own at night, which is very anti-AP but it worked.

I hope your little guy learns to sleep through the night soon.
