Allium mug rug by Poppyprint

Newer Older

I'm doing the Fat Quarterly jelly roll quilt-a-long and used the 2" scraps from the end of each Hunky Dory strip to make this mug rug with Steam a Seam Lite. Essex cotton/linen blend background, free motion quilting and embroidery embellishment.

peonybliss, annamichellequilts, and 208 other people added this photo to their favorites.

It is so cool to see this. I am in a block exchange and working with other quilters fabric choices. I love everything they chose and could not throw away even this littlest of scraps. I was thinking of making flowers or just playing with the scraps until I came up with something pleasing. This is similar to what I had in my mind. I love the embroidery you added.

How do you know when one of your photos has been on Explore? I am curious. Second question. How do you put the icon of the person you are sending a response to in the comment box. Just some Flickr questions!!!
