Torah Scroll Fragment on Vellum, circa 17th Century, from Morocco, on display at Logos.
This scroll fragment allegedly contains Numbers 36:5–Deuteronomy 4:34— But there's no easy way for me to know that, since I cannot read Hebrew, unfortunately.
I walk by this framed skin multiple times a day where I work at Logos Bible Software, It never fails to catch my eye. I've often stopped to look at it closely: I love it's orderliness.
Office legend has it that when it was first acquired and framed, it was placed in the frame upside down. It took a Hebrew scholar to finally notice what was wrong and set things aright.
Sometimes I feel like I've been framed and hung upside down – but I don't need an ancient language scholar to tell me that!
