Black Chaos Comes Again
A closeup of my son's short-lived Venus Flytrap, shot in the window of my mother-in-law's kitchen.
This brings back memories for me. My parents ran a greenhouse for many years in Albuquerque. One of the more popular items were the carnivorous plants like this one, among others.
There were a fascinating subject for me, for a time. Of course, all plants eat bugs. Most just have the decency to wait for the bugs to die and decomponse.
An eager plant, this.
"For he being dead, with him is beauty slain,
And, beauty dead, black chaos comes again."
— William Shakespeare (Venus and Adonis. Line 1019)
