Among the last of my night-photos while in Nashville last week.
This is actually a composite photo. I took two shots with my camera in the same position: one in macro mode and the other not in macro mode. I aligned the two photos in layers and erased the parts that were out of focus and blended the rest together. That's why, if you look closely you'll see not one, but two planes of focus.
Not sure if the experiment was successful for you, but it turned out fine for me!
Owing to the low light conditions, there was too much purple fringe to leave this as a color shot, so I went with black and white.
