Devon Snyder, Great Basin Institute Intern, digs holes to plant sagebrush seedlings

On March 31, 2012, Devon Snyder, Great Basin Institute Intern, digs holes to plant sagebrush seedlings on the site of the 2011 Izzenhood Fire. The seedlings were planted near Rock Creek Ranch, north of Battle Mountain, in an area not frequented by humans, but visited by mule deer as a migration corridor. More than 30 volunteers worked to plant approximately 4,000 sagebrush and bitterbrush seedlings.
