good poutine in NYC? (Pommes Frites)

On 2nd avenue between 7th and 8th, "Pommes Frites" is a small belgian shack where you can get good fries but, more importantly to me, a genuine poutine:

- fries

- thick chicken gravy

- special cheddar cheese curds (actually imported from Quebec)

the Poutine is a traditionnal fastfood delicacy from Quebec. If you've ever had one in Quebec and miss it, I believe this is a good place to remind your tasting buds what the great taste of poutine is like. This one is an okay soup-like poutine, but definitely worth trying if you've never had one and are in NYC.

Edit:

if you're like me and miss poutine and aren't in NYC or Quebec, I just found out it's possible to order the curds on amazon. Really. I'll have to give this a try soon.
