1. My friend and I were returning home after buying some stuff for our apartment. We couldn't find an autorickshaw so we grabbed a cycle. This man rode up next to us on his bike and (we assumed) seeing we weren't Indians, tried to give up a business card for his jewelry shop and told us to come. We declined, and did not take the card, but he kept next us. My friend (who is more bold then I) told him again we weren't interesting and (less politely) told him to leave. She called him "bhaya" and he said "Don't call me that, I'm not your brother". She again told him to leave, and he wouldn't, and became more and more rude. She got very angry and yelled "Fuck you!" at him. He answered "I'm glad you said that because I really want to fuck you." I started to look for a pen and tried to write down his bike number on my hand. When he realized what I was doing, he drove off.
2. I was walking home from class in Jaipur, in Raja Park. I was hungry after a long day of hindi study, so I bought a fruit and nut bar to eat. As I walked a teenage boy walked by and yelled "HEY GHORI! KHILAO" (Hey white girl, feed me!) at me and ran off with his friends, laughing.
3. I was walking to class at around 9 am in Raja Park. On my way to class I saw a teenage group of guys and girls. As I walk past, the boys started yelling "NAMASTEEEEE" at me in extremely rude voices. I looked down at the ground and tried to ignore them. They kept yelling these things at me the whole time I passed, while their female friends giggled and laughed. I found it more ironic, since these same laughing girls probably felt horrible when strange guys yelled at them on the street.
