LL-701 Shuttlecraft

The LL-701 is most often operated by a two-man team: a pilot and a member of the ground crew. While the pilot takes care of the ship itself, the ground crewman takes care of the cargo, from checking the delivery notes to loading and unloading the ship. The cargo-runs are a favoured job for ground crew who wish to have more experience of space travel. Some ground crew have even gone on to pilot training after their experiences on the cargo-runs.

The truck was made for the shuttlecraft and is only 3.5 studs wide. The wheels were made by pushing the studs of three stacked 1x1 round plates into either side of a 1x2 technic joiner plate and then shoving a tyre over the plates. I used plates rather than a 1x1 round brick because the ribbing provides a better grip for the tyre (see diagram).
