Diwali Rangoli - Swastika

First rangoli ever done.

 

Ladies using fine colored sand/powder to make intricate designs called rangoli during the Diwali season. It is said, Laxshmi the goddness will be pleased to enter homes with rangoli and lights.

 

The swastika is a symbol of good luck and is auspicious. It is used to bless a house and ward off evil spirits.
