Rocky Crossing is a favourite swimming hole as well as a convenient pick up point for kayakers making their way down the Barrington River from Bindera. Map The river continues on from here, crossing Thunderbolts Way at the Barrington Bridge where camping facilities exist.

Rocky Crossing is accessed off Thunderbolts Way near the Barrington Bridge and driving south along Barrington West Road till you reach Rocky Crossing, a distance of perhaps 5 or 6km ?.

Crossing the ford allows you to eventually link up with the Gloucester Tops Road or return to Barrington via the Barrington East Road.

The 11.94km paddle from Bindera to Rocky Crossing descends by 48.0 m. (My Map Run)

Access west to Bindera is by Manchester Road.
