Comet 17/P Holmes

Although Comet Holmes has now faded significantly since it's bright appearance at the end of last month, it is still an easy binocular object, and as can be seen here, still well defined in a 20s shot with my camera. The bright star to the top left is Mirfak (Alpha Persii). The Comet is now huge, with it's vapoury atmosphere now covering an area of the sky greater than the full Moon (which was close by and slightly ruined the contrast on these shots).
