After a snow storm and freezing rain on the 13th, the sky cleared.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Except me it seemed.
It was absolutely still and silent with not even a hush of a breeze.
Ground fog then started rolling in and out. I went outside for about 45 minutes capturing long exposures in the neighborhood. With the fog, the lights and the dark sky, along with a custom white balance in post, a selective color adjustment layer and a desaturation layer with layer mask got me the look I was after. This was the calm before the storm. Warm 60mph winds soon followed. (135mph on the ridge above town!) Was quite a storm.
