Setting up alertme

This is the alertme system from www.alertme.com, sat next to my Time Capsule.

 

Setup was really very easy, though don't do what I did and ignore the "don't put the batteries in yet" before going through the setup! Plugged it into one of the ethernet ports on the time capsule, plugged in the mains and then logged into the website were it took me through the installation. You then place the wireless sensors around your home and setup the keyfobs.

 

The hub itself is really well designed, and as you can see doesn't look out of place next to an Apple product. Around it's middle is a band of light that changes colour depending on what it's doing, such as updating firmware.

 

I'm only a few days in to using it but so far it's pretty impressive.
