Great Salt Lake - Rozel Point

I saw this on my way back to Chicago from California. The northeast corner of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. The red color near the shore is caused by bacteria that can tolerate the high salinity.

Rozel Point is on the right. A massive earth scupture called "Spiral Jetty" is barely visible in large size. Check out for more information.

Geotagged at the Spiral Jetty.
