Benjamin Zephaniah's Typewriter

Benjamin Zephaniah is one of Britain’s leading poets. Raised in Handsworth, Benjamin writes about themes such as identity, injustice, personal relationships and his early life in Birmingham. In 1976 he was given this typewriter by a friend. He published his first book of poetry, ‘Pen Rhythm’, at the age of 22.
