Australian Magpie: Sun-hazing
Australian Magpie, Gymnorhina tibicen
We've had a few days of unseasonal cold weather and today's sunshine was enough for Maggie to settle down spread out the wings and feathers and let the sun warmth penetrate.
Sun-hazing has an effect of torpor and the bird seems to drift off.
They do bounce back out of it almost instantly, in a 'What was I thinking of" state.
