Black-shouldered Kite: I've got this one Dad.
Black-shouldered Kite, Elanus axillaris
How quickly they learn. A week ago it was having trouble getting close to the mouse. It will sweep upside down and take the mouse with its claws outstretched.
Must be a hard manoeuvre to learn as they lose height and speed as they turn over and for the first few times will miss the food.
Or Dad will drop quickly and place it in their open claws.
We are about to go back in to Six Weeks of Lockdown, so its going to be posting of old stock from me from here on.
Hope you like Black-shouldered Kite photos :-)
Good luck to all my fellow Doona Warriors.
