Traditional Spanish vinyard and its custodian

Only 40 kilometers away from the cosmopolitan Barcelona, Spain, you can still find women working in the vineyards in a traditional way. Taking care of each vine and bunch during spring and summer will allow for the farmers to reap a stunning harvest in September.

The vineyard in this photo in Sant Pere de Ribes is located a few meters above the sea level. Close to it is the Ribes Castle dating back to the 10th century and Mediterranean pine forests. Photo by Albert Garduño
