Eastern Bluebird on a Cedar Post
I put some nest boxes out this spring for Tree Swallows and I was pleasantly surprised to have a pair of eastern Bluebirds take up residence. They are skittish but I have solved that problem with a trip to Henrys to pick up a wireless shutter release good for 200 feet. For this image, I set up my tripod and camera close to a popular perch, prefocused on the top of the post, set the remote for rapid frames and sat on my deck to wait for one to land. Five minutes later the male landed on the post and the set-up worked very well. Clarence-Rockland, Ontario, Canada.
