Amy Pleasant - Chicago Billboard Art Project 2011
Amy Pleasant lives and works in Seattle, WA. She began painting after attending the Drawing and Painting Atelier at the Gage Academy of Art.

Her work is influenced by the suspicion that just below the surface is a linking between matter and mystery; that there really is no such thing as the purely mundane. Her paintings can be described as a visual language expressing the complex navigation of human relationships. Recent work explores generational transition, memory and the lingering aftermath of a life lived.

Amy has exhibited in Seattle at Georgetown Art Center and the Art and Soul Gallery. Group shows include the Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. Public collections include Northwest Hospital, Restaurants Unlimited and Evergreen Medical Center.
