Honolulu, Hawai'i - Oahu

    Prev Next

This cityscape was taken with an 85mm f/1.8 lens. It was the only one I had available to me at the time. This is a hand-held shot taken wide open (f/1.8).

I used the poster edges effect to make it appear painting-like.

Next time I'm up there I'll have a wide-angle lens.

Probably best viewed at least large.

Were you here enjoying our beautiful skyline and you didn't say hi?

This is pretty fantastic! I don't think I have been up in any of those tall buildings and definitely not at night. It is a pretty impressive view.

Lucy, I was over there working on a project with a recording studio to provide photographic artwork for an upcoming CD which will be released by a local recording artist.

I'll be back in Honolulu this Sunday to shoot the actual recording session.

Unfortunately I'm gonna be tied-up from the moment I get there until I leave that same evening, as was the case the day/evening this photo was taken.

I'll slip ya a couple extra "Hi!'s" when I see you on the 16th.

Very nice Bill! Shot from Tantalus?

Bill Shooting the cover art ... sounds very cool. Now I have to go look up Tantalus, where exactly is this place everyone else knows just from the stunning view?

Here is information on Tantalus Lookout.

The road used to loop around, putting you back down into town. It's now blocked-off for some reason.

Be careful up there, as per Kyle's story, above.
